I am a UK citizen and I live in the ancient capital city of York. For the past 2 years, I have worked as a Business English Coach for professional and aspiring engineers. I am the founder of the Literally England School of English Language and Culture. I specialise in helping ambitious engineers to land their dreams jobs by preparing standout application materials and developing their interview skills. In addition to this, I offer bespoke individualised programmes to support engineers already in jobs to maximise their impact and build confidence by developing their English communication skills.
Prior to this, I worked in education for 27 years as a teacher, senior leader, and Head of Engineering at two of England’s most prestigious state and international schools.
Before I became a teacher, I worked in the construction industry for 15 years. I progressed from an apprenticeship to work in the design office, followed by a spell as works manager, before attending university.
